About
b. 1975, Portugal · Lisbon, studio in Almada · formerly White Koala
A generative artist working in creative coding, which he calls algorithmic art to set it apart from AI-generated work. He translates inner states — thought, perception, feeling — into algorithmic systems, and releases digital editions and pen-plotted works on paper.
A visual practice has been there since adolescence: line drawing, graffiti, watercolor sketches of urban spaces, collage. The adult years were spent inside large organizations, managing complex programs across regions and cultures. A serious illness in 2025 ended the assumption that the studio could wait.
When he encountered creative coding in 2022, what felt like a beginning turned out to be a recognition: the visual practice, the years of building and living inside systems, and a long daily meditation practice had been converging for longer than he knew.
His work has been published in Machine Arts Magazine (Issue 2, 2025) and released on fxHash, Alba, EditArt and Koda, and as pen-plotted works on paper.

Finding the Way, 2024
What happens on the inside, just before we find words for it?
The work lives in the tension between systems and experience. Code is logical, rule-bound, deterministic. Feeling is none of those things. Yet when the right rules meet the right randomness, something emerges that neither fully explains — a form that feels true without being able to say why.
Each series is a compression. The less it explains, the more space it makes for what the viewer already knows but hasn't yet found words for either.
